We are proud to introduce Ishmael Albert Hedd, our new Administrator, whose journey in healthcare is a true example of dedication, growth, and leadership.
Ishmael came to the United States at the age of 19 with a vision to build a meaningful future. He began his career in long-term care in 1997, starting in the dietary department before advancing to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Through hard work and commitment to resident care, he continued his progression into nursing, becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and later stepping into leadership roles including Charge Nurse, Unit Manager, Quality Assurance Nurse and Assistant Director of Nursing.
Throughout his career, Ishmael has remained deeply committed to both resident care and team development. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Public Health and successfully completed his Administrator-In-Training (AIT) program, preparing him for executive leadership in skilled nursing.
Today, Ishmael proudly serves as the Administrator at Northstar Post Acute, bringing with him decades of hands-on experience, a passion for quality care, and a strong vision for building a supportive, high-performing team.
His leadership philosophy is simple: take care of the staff, and they will take exceptional care of the residents.
